Editorial Review

Most people have spent too much time convincing themselves that life has to be hard, with a resignation to 9-5 drudgery in exchange for weekends and occasional vacation. If you are sick of the deferred-life plan and want to live life instead of postpone it; to join the New Rich and create luxury lifestyles in the present through freedom of time and place, then learn to adopt the art and science of Lifestyle Design, which consists of four simple steps referred to as DEAL.

Book Reviews

"He embraces entrepreneurship and uses the book to share street-smart tips for simplifying your life, automating your work, being more effective with your email/communications, cutting down on interruptions, and using your time to actually achieve something meaningful. I can’t recommend this book enough. In fact, if the highest praise you can give a book is that you changed the way you do things because of it, then this book gets a great review." I Will Teach You to Be Rich

"It was a fun read and there were some very good personal productivity ideas sprinkled throughout the book. If the title seems appealing to you, give it a shot–just be sure to look past all of the self-marketing that Tim does throughout the book." The Simple Dollar

"Within the first few pages of The 4-Hour Workweek I knew I was reading something different. Tim’s experiences as an entrepreneur sounded like my experiences. Tim’s feelings of being overwhelmed and overworked were what I was feeling." Forbes

"This book is also very funny. It takes ideas that sound impossible and explains how ordinary people have achieved them, with lots of entertaining stories along the way. It is a book that opens the mind and shows that there are radically different ways of living that can be achieved." Donaldson Solutions

"The 4-Hour Workweek is not a book for discussion. It’s a book for action. I wholeheartedly believe this is the book that will unlock the secret for a great many people and let them get out of their own way. I encourage you to be one of them." Actionable Books

Wisdom to Share

If you are confused about life, you're not alone. This won't be a problem once you realize that life is neither a problem to be solved nor a game to be won.

Life exists to be enjoyed, and the most important thing is to feel good about yourself.

The new mantra is this: Work wherever and whenever you want, but get your work done.

Being embarrassed to admit that you're still living the consequences of bad decisions made years ago shouldn't stop you from making good decisions now.

Just because something has consumed a lot of time and effort doesn't make it productive or worthwhile.

Some jobs are simply beyond repair; getting fired, despite sometimes coming as a surprise, is often a godsend since someone else made the decision for you.

Do business with good customers and avoid bad ones, view them as an equal trading partner and not as a blessing to be pleased at all costs.

Eliminate unimportant tasks before you delegate, unless something is well defined and important, no one should do it, otherwise, you waste someone else's time instead of your own.

Most information is time consuming, negative, irrelevant to your goals, and outside of your influence.

It is imperative that you learn to ignore or redirect all information and interruptions that are irrelevant or unimportant.

Some people avoid quitting their jobs hoping that it will improve with time or increases in income; this is fear of the unknown disguised as optimism.
